Collaboration System Release 11.0 is the collective reference or virtual release of Cisco Collaboration technologies including CUCM/IM&P 11.0, Jabber 11.0 and the associated Collaboration systems and products.
There are many new capabilities and enhancements that will be provided in this release. After a sneak preview of what is to come, we thought we would share with you just Eight new features/enhancements that we are sure will make an impact for our clients
1. MULTISTREAM USER EXPERIENCE WITH DUAL-SCREEN ENDPOINTS
Rather than have one screen showing video participants and one showing content, this enhancement provides the ability to utilise the second screen to show participants’ video when content is not being shared.
2. MULTI-STREAM USER EXPERIENCE WITH SINGLE-SCREEN ENDPOINTS
Rather than just seeing the active speaker at the top of the screen when content is being shared, this enhancement enables you to see multiple participants across the top of the screen while also sharing content.
3. CISCO INTELLIGENT PROXIMITY – ENHANCED MEETING ROOM EXPERIENCE
Enhancements to Intelligent Proximity now enables end-users to control room endpoints from their smartphone, to share content from their PC or MAC anywhere in the room without the need to plug in and the ability for all participants to receive content shared on smartphones and tablets.
4. JABBER PMR & CMR INTEGRATION
Further integration of Jabber into PMR & CMR now provides the ability, with a single click, to escalate an interaction within Jabber to a CMR or PMR session utilising either WebEx of Jabber Video.
5. EXPANDED H.265 SUPPORT
Expanded H.265 support outside of the firewall enables organisations to make significant bandwidth savings while maintaining full HD quality for interactions that span the internet.
6. ENHANCED LYNC 2013 INTEROPERABILITY
Expressway X8.6 enables improved content interoperability for multipoint with Microsoft RDP and Cisco BFCP conversion for multiparty onpremise TelePresence systems and CMR Cloud deployments.
